Kowloonbay International Trade & Exhibition Centre, KITEC was planed since the end of 1987, and opened in 1995. Unlike other major exhibition venues, such as the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) and AsiaWorld-Expo, KITEC is the only venue that fully built and managed by the private centre in Hong Kong.

KITEC is a 13-story building with 4-story basement. To cope with the market demand, some of the floors were rebuilt in phases since 2006.

At present, the four basement levels are the vehicle exhibition centre; G/F to 4/F are the shopping mall - E-max, providing retail, dining and exhibition venues; 7/F to 13/F are the office; 13/F and 14/F are the wedding restaurant.

The "Star Hall" opened in 2007, which is the main venue of KITEC, providing 30,000 sq.ft. area with 3,600-visitor capacity. Its non-prllar design and 50-ft.-height ceiling, suitable for performing various types of events, such as concerts, exhibitions, banquets, cultural and sports events, and seminars. The Music Zone @ E-max located in G/F is a smaller performance venue, which is the first venue with "Live House" concept in Hong Kong.

Theatre-designed Auditorium located in 3/F, which can accommodate more than 700 visitors, mainly used for holding forum, summit, etc. KITEC also has 3 Rotunda, which can accommodate 1000-1600 visitors, mainly used for performing exhibitions or banquets. There are also 11 meeting rooms, providing venues for various scale of exhibitions, trade fairs, conferences and other business events.
